About

Carry Me To My Pants was something Kaya said when she was about three years old. She loved t-shirts and would always take her pants off as soon as she could. This stopped over the years but the phrase remained.

Kaya Lynne was born on April 3rd, 2010 in Gainesville, Florida. Looking back, she was a pretty easy baby, especially when compared to her colicky sister! She met all her developmental milestones and pretty much toilet trained herself while trying to copy her big sister. She was reading independently by age 4.

Growing up, she made friends really easily. Kids just gravitated to her. She was feisty but also kind. In pre-school, she would routinely defy her teachers instructions to clean up, instead sitting under the table or running around. She knew which rules she could bend or break. But for the most part, she was a well behaved kid.

Kaya had an amazing love for animals - all animals. She wanted to have all the pets and she's largely the reason why we had 2 dogs, 2 chinchillas and 3 Guinea Pigs. She also wanted a cat and a snake, but we had to draw the line! When she learned about beef, pork, chicken and how these animals were killed for food, she wanted to stop eating meat. She also stopped eating all foods derived from and made sure she didn't have any fur or leather in her clothing. Nothing she did ever harmed an animal from that point forward.

She was saving money for her own rescue farm, and at her death had saved over $5000 that she had invested in various stocks that she chose, earning a 12% return. She was dedicated to this cause.

And her friends - they loved her. While she loved her technology to watch YouTube videos and play video games she wasn't much for texting. She was more inclined to FaceTime or call. She was always being invited somewhere, too.

And she always wanted to help others. She'd make sure we had water bottles to give the homeless in the summer, and socks for them in the winter. She grew her hair long specifically to donate it to Locks of Love.

Things took a turn for the worst when, on November 3rd, 2021, she died suddenly and without warning. She left a massive hole in the hearts of her family, friends, and even her pets.

This online store is designed to help fulfil her legacy. We'll be selling t-shirts and various items that represent Kaya and those causes she supported.

  • 10% of all profits will be donated to local animal rescue and sanctuaries.
  • 15% of all profits will be set aside to help realize Kaya's dream of opening her own farm animal rescue.

P.S - Kaya coined the phrase 'Carry Me To My Pants'. When she was about 3 years old, she would always take her pants off. You'd finish getting her dressed for school and seconds later, she was pant-less. When asked to put her clothes on so we could leave, she said 'Carry Me To My Pants'. I thought it was an apt name for a t-shirt company in her memory.
